Knee Side Smashing Series by Thomas Rozdzynski Buy Collection Knee Side Smashing Series by Thomas Rozdzynski

The Jiu-Jitsu Folding Pass is a versatile and effective technique in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) used to pass an opponent's guard. This pass is characterized by its fluid and strategic movements, making it a valuable tool in a BJJ practitioner's arsenal.

To perform the Folding Pass, the practitioner starts in the open guard of their opponent, often with one leg between their opponent's legs. The key is to control the opponent's legs and maintain balance while folding one leg back and driving the opposite knee across the opponent's thigh. This motion effectively collapses the opponent's guard and creates a pathway to side control or another dominant position.

The Folding Pass requires precise weight distribution, hip mobility, and grip control. It's a dynamic technique that demands both finesse and agility. When executed successfully, it can nullify an opponent's guard and put the passer in a position of control, highlighting the artful and strategic nature of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.

Professor Thomas will also walk you through how to use Knee Side Smash passing from many different Guards including de La Riva, Half, Butterfly,  and even the Turtle position.
