Pre training do a quick mobility warm up to check in with my body to see where I’m tight. Starting with my wrists and shoulders and neck working through the spine open up my hips, my knees and ankles. Post workout I always rehydrate then I’ll go in my sauna for 15- 20 minutes and follow that up with a cold shower or cold plunge occasionally.

It’s bummer for sure.  Especially when it’s someone you really enjoy training with. I think the longer you train you start realize that’s just part of the journey…

For me it’s definitely helped to stay calm and critically think my way through stressful situations that may occur in my day to day life.  Also it has kept my ego in check and it is also helped realize when I’m not living in the present moment.  Being present keeps Me from being anxious.

Blue for sure. I lived on  the bottom flat on my back consistently getting smashed.  Half way through blue belt I think my defense started to improve and I started to gain some confidence. Blue belt was a grind for me the entire time.
