It was such a fun 2 or 3 months until people learned how to defend itย ๐Ÿคฃ

My favorite attack is a triangle when your partner bridges. Works really well with an exaggerated "super man" looking bridge.

It stops working once people get their purple beltsย ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™‚๏ธ I guess they learn to be more careful where they dangle their arms.

I've definitely done this when someone is on my back or I am mounted.I also do something similar to what you described when watching videos. Especially if I know it will be a few days before I can try something I'm visualize myself trying it. I figure if I can't visualize it, I'm going to struggle in real lifeย ๐Ÿคฃ

Advanced gi will have more lasso attacks.ย

Another armbar, a wrist lock of course and a triangle thatโ€™s one of my favorites. Hit this triangle on a partner and itโ€™s worthy of a highlight reel!

Having coaching goals is great! Plus I think the kids will see your overall health and well being goals.

Advanced gi will continue our lasso exploration with a focus on attacks this week.ย

One thing to keep in mind with week is how your partner reacts when you set up an attack. Sometimes this will lead to an opening for one of the previous weeks attacks!

I can share 2 things I have in store for 2025.ย

First, I make it a goal to hit a different gym each year. Finding a new gym to visit will be on the list.

Second, I'm making purposeful studying off the mats more of a priority. This will help with both teaching and my own knowledge base. I'm starting with a small weekly goal for targeted watching of YouTube, instructionals, ROLtv, or other sources.ย

Advanced gi is continuing our lasso block. Last week we introduced the idea of a deep vs shallow lasso and a basic sweep.ย

Let build on our partners reactions and add in some more sweeping options.ย
