Still trying to figure this out. In my mind, I like to see how long I can go at a quicker pace before I gas out. I feel like if I take a pause, I will get over-powered and stuck in a bad position.

I'm excited to see the Little Kids class work on opening the guard. It is such an important step in getting out of a position that they may get swept or submitted from. For our kids that are competing, or want to compete, learning how to do this quickly and fluidly will allow them to constantly improve their position under pressure.Β

I think quarterly is a good frequency. It gives students enough time to prepare, and perhaps even work in other sports or activities.Β

This one is awesome. Just need to figure out how to not offer my back for the taking when I attempt itΒ πŸ˜‚

Alright, I'm never starting standing with you again lol

I also gravitate towards the single leg.Β

What takedown do you have the most success with?

I'm having fun at blue! Things are starting to make more sense and the new things I'm learning feel more doable with practice. There's also not a ton of pressure to know everything at this belt. I get a lot of fulfillment out of refining the things I do know and exploring the techniques that interest me. My training partners are still pretty nice to me too (most of the time).Β
