If you could only train one submission for a year, what would it be and why?

Mine is the kimura.  You use it for submissions, passing, or control.  You can use it from so many different types of guards, side, mount.  You can do them with your arms or legs.  Super versatile!

No Gi Advanced will continue on with pin escapes from half guard.  Will be going into far arm underhook escapes going underneath to tight waist grips.

Adv. No Gi - Reminder no normal class as guest instructor is here. Arman Fathi is a double black belt.  No Gi 10th planet black belt from Eddie Bravo.   Also has a gi black belt from the Gracie's in California.  Don't miss it!

Switching to bottom side control this week for Adv. No Gi.  It sucks being smashed on bottom, so we will be spending some weeks building a plan to figure out how to escape that pin.

New block starting is pin escapes in No Gi Adv.  Since we have been working on bottom half guard, starting with escapes from bottom half when things go wrong and you are flattened and getting smashed by your partner.

I definitely wash.  I use to do stupid superstitious stuff for baseball in high school/college, but this tradition doesn't make any sense to me.  Clean and no spreading infections for me!  And for all the people that don't like losing stripes, put some super glue on the tape and they won't fall off in the wash.
