This week advanced gi will continue to build our 50/50 leg lock attacks. We will be focusing on the aoki lock and trouble shooting a bit from last week too. Miss the last few weeks? This is the perfect spot to jump in!

I definitely can see why you think a blue belt vs a black belt made the difference.A blue belt is closer to where you are currently. Their memory of the experiences you are going through is fresher too. I think it helps make them more relatable too.It's great how many people have been brought to jiu jitsu by podcasts. Maybe we should start a poll?

Bekah Bradshaw I still like to think if I started earlier I might not have stuck it out, so I'm glad I started when I did.

I feel like it hooked me right away, despite what some family members might tell you. I just remember being there my first day looking around at everyone doing the technique, it was an arm bar, and they made it look so easy. I kept saying to myself, why can't I do something that looks so easy? Never mind the fact I was probably watching the people who had been doing it for years. 

I had to become the person that made the complex seem simple.

Personally I’d love to experience training in Brazil, some of the amazing gyms in California, the large gyms in Florida, or Texas because of the added benefit of the bbq. 

Sometime I think the people we get to meet are the best benefit!

That's a really tough one. There was no singular event but the timing was right. I had always wanted to try some type of martial art. 

The one thing I will say, something that kept me where I was training, was someone introducing me to a few others.
