I would probably say around 16, which is when I chickened-out trying a class for the first time.Β πŸ˜‚ Though, it is very heartening to see people of all ages deciding to make that first step even if it is later than they intended. Like that one quote: "For better than never is late; never to succeed would be too long a period".Β

I would say at this point in my learning journey, drilling has been very helpful. While I enjoy sparring, I sometimes run into the issue where I feel ill-prepared to execute a technique and end up missing my opportunity. Having chances to drill in class helps me feel a bit more confident in trying new things I've learned when sparring.Β

I'm trying to stop leaving my elbows exposed and allowing myself to get flattened out when I end up on bottom.Β

I really try to unless I am learning something for the first time and am already very confused.Β

It depends on the day for me. Some days feel more mentally challenging and physically easy while others challenge me more physically. I think it depends on the technique/position we are working from.

My favorite technique is the butterfly sweep. It's finally starting to make sense to me lol.

I need a mix of all four, but I can especially appreciate a deeper explanation.

Definitely the first option, since I'd like to try to practice what I'm learning. But I do like keeping things playful overall :)
