This week in All Levels we are working from the turtle position. We are going to look at a good way to attack the turtle to advance our position to back control. We will also look at two ways to defend when we find ourselves at the bottom of the turtle position. 

Protect your neck! This week in All Levels we’ll be looking at how to both apply the guillotine choke and how to defend it if you unfortunately find yourself in that position! 

Back Control is the most dominant and one of the most fun positions in Jiu Jitsu. Make sure to stop in to work on taking the back and finishing with some powerful chokes! 

Starting this week, I’ll be teaching the Thursday All Levels at 11. It’s a review day so we will be taking another look at one of my favorite submissions, the Kimura! If you missed last week, you have another opportunity to check it out!

In All Levels, we’ll look at two powerful chokes using the lapels. These chokes can be used to complete a submission or just use the threat of them to open other opportunities. Definitely something you want to add to your game! 

One of the techniques in All Levels this week is the arm lock from the mount position. This is a submission that I’ve been personally focusing on and have been having a lot of fun with during open rolls. Make sure you come check out all the details this week and add a new submission to your arsenal! 

All Levels is covering some mount escapes. I would argue it’s the most important escape to learn. Whether it’s on the mats or on the street, the mount is a natural position of dominance so you better develop a path to escape!
