If I come across something that interests me I'll listen to how they describe going through the technique. If they can't break it down simply, they're using waaaay too many steps, or over complicating it I'll pass. 

I also lean towards smaller people since they have to have their technique nailed down to pull off moves on bigger people. 

It’s all about finding that happy medium. If they’re faster than me, I’ll slow them down. If they’re good with pressure, I’ll try to move quick enough to not get pinned, if they’re have great strategy, I’ll play strong defense till they make a mistake and I can attack or sweep. 

Outside of BJJ I try to do some type of strength training and/or rucking. 

I feel supplements help, especially the older we get. 😉
