In NoGi Intermediate we'll be reviewing the five techniques taught in the Prof Adam Maslach bottom half guard workshop: 1) Lifting Arm Drag, 2) John Wayne Sweep, 3) Scoop Grip w/ Butterfly to Heel Hook, 4) Scoop Grip to Knee Bar, and 5) the Kimura.

In NoGi Advance we'll continue to troubleshoot the hip switching with the overback grip to beat the knee shield by using an ankle scoop grip to neutralize the top leg.

In NoGi Advance we'll focus on using the hip switch to overback grip method to beat the knee shield when in top half guard.  

In NoGi Intermediate we'll focus on two attacks from a high mount position...the arm-in triangle and the triangle choke.

KB 2H The Barbarian

The Barbarian is a complex kettlebell flow comprised of two compound movements:

  1. Barbarian Clean

    • Deadlift, clean, pullover

  2. Goblet Squat Thruster

    • Goblet squat, push press

This one is going to have your whole body on fire.  It's great for anybody looking for a full body workout while training their explosiveness, stability, and mobility.

PM CLASS

  5. CB 1H Side Pendulum to Overhead Press

We are going to utilize four bodyweight movements to challenge our core, stability, and get those legs on fire.  We'll also build upon what we've been learning by adding a movement to the clubbell sequence we worked on earlier in the week.

In NoGi Advanced, we'll start looking at the Rising Method as a way to beat our opponent's knee shield when we are in top half guard.  It's all about getting that inside position to pin our partner's hips flat on the mat.
